What’s in a Meet & Greet

Home / Blog / What’s in a Meet & Greet

To become properly acquainted with your pet and provide them with the highest quality care, an initial meet and greet session is integral.

Not only does a meet and greet allow me to understand your pet’s unique needs better, it should also help instill some trust between your pet and me. Since I will be entering your and your pet’s domain and will be meeting your pet for the first time in front of you, our meet and greet should help establish that I am a safe person to be around. In addition, I need to also ensure that your home is a safe working environment and that it’s a fit.

In order to meet and exceed your expectations, I will inquire about the following items during the meet & greet:

  • Pet’s care routine

  • Pet’s likes and dislikes

  • Medication administration routine (location of medication, etc)

  • Location of pet carrier

  • Plan in case of an emergency (vet info, emergency numbers - friends, neighbors, family)

  • Veterinary Release Form

  • Supplies to clean with after elimination (poop bags, etc.)

  • Household cleaning supplies

  • Extra requests (adjust lights/shades, retrieve mail, water plants, move trash bins)

I truly value and take great pride in building lasting, trusting relationships with both pets and their owners. I hope this is just the beginning of our wonderful journey together.
